Male client had an erection and ejaculated during massage--what should I do?

I'm working during the summer as a massage therapist, something that I also part-time during the year. I work from a chiropractor's office, where I rent a room. I had a new client the other day who seemed like a totally normal 19 year old college student using his university health plan to pay for his one covered massage. As he lay on his stomach during the first half of the massage, I could really hear him moaning and it seemed as though he was really relaxing and enjoying the massage. I occasionally thought that I saw him grinding slightly against the massage table, but I didn't give it a second thought.

Then when I asked him to turn on his back, I noticed a very large wet spot on the massage table and there was a distinct smell in the room. He had taken off his underwear before the massage, so I covered him with a towel, but it was blatantly obvious that he still had an erection when he turned over. He seemed really embarrassaded about it all, looked at me and started apologizing. I told him not to worry about and to relax. But as I continued the massage, he remained erect throughout and either ejaculated again during the massage, or had some pre-c*um, since I saw another wet spot on his towel.

He didn't say anything inappropriate during the massage and his girlfriend came to pick him up with her car at the end of the massage. Should I speak to him about this if he decided to come back for another massage, or should I just refuse to serve him?

When I got my first massage, the therapist was very good. During my session I became aroused. When it came time to turn over I was quite embarrassed. The therapist told me it was normal and that if I preferred, she would give me a couple of minutes to myself to let things pass. I declined as my time was nearly over anyway.

You were dealing with a 19 year old who likely does not have much if any control over his body. Take it as a compliment to the quality of you skills. This was likely not some sort of attraction to you personally.

I had many massages since my first and the problem has never come up again. I do sometimes get the sensation but will focus to prevent it happening again.

This happened to me. I had a major lower back and hip problem, and went to a therapist who did not seem to like me the two previous times. She didn t listen to what I said and used way too deep of pressure, despite me asking her not two. During this massage when face down near the end, she shakes my hips left and right which makes my pain way worse. Right now, I am just breathing trying to not tense up so the pain isn t worse. That was when she starts pushing me hard into the table and using rocking techniques. I may have been partially erect at the time, but was really just about to get off the table this therapist was so bad. When she grinned or pushed me into the table the last time, where I could not even feel my bladder, I guess I either ejaculated, had pre-***, or it was simply urine. I was not even aware that anything came out, though I do remember feeling wet spot on my leg...I thought maybe I was sweating. I was being pushed into the table so hard I could not feel anything.

Anyway, 10 days later I get a call from the chiropractor saying I am banned from the practice for something I didn t even know happened. Worse, the massage therapist told her other friend massage therapist so now she was against ever seeing me either. I was completely embarrassed for something I didn t even know happened. In 10 years of massage, I never had one incident with anyone. And I fully believe this therapist was unprofessional in how she did her massage. Long story short, I emailed the chiropractor and told him my viewpoint. He found 1 therapist who was still wiling to see me. I explained the situation to her and she believed me, and I have been back at the practice 3 years with no incidents,

If this happens, I would talk to the client about it. I would not run to the manager.

i am actually a licensed massage therapist in the state of ct and this does happen often, with our male providers. it has nothing to do with anything sexual. it's like when you wake up in the morning with an erection. you are extremely relaxed and the bodies response is to get an erection. the same theory applies when getting a massage. the body relaxes and thus comes the erection. it truly is nothing to be alarmed about and it doesn't bother the male therapist a bit. when you have a working knowledge of the human anatomy in both males and females, anything sexual is thrown out the window

The erection durting the massage is not an issue, for client to react on it is a problem

I don't know how experienced a therapist you are but men getting erections and comeing is very very common. after all, they are relaxed, someone is rubbing them and they are enjoying it.

I suggest you get used to this happening. because this isn't going to be the last time this'll happen.

it's perfectly normal and as a professional, you have to deal with it.

now what you did was the right thing, just put a towel over it and let him wipe it off. Don't speak to him about it. It's just nature, that's all.

and keep him as a customer. If he pays, that's all that matters.

Why doesn't your Penis get hard anymore? I know how you feel. Could be a lot of reasons why you're incapable of getting an erection. This will help you get your feeling/erections back. https://bitly.im/aOf3N Works like a charm. Good luck.

WOW!! that is a tough one..on one hand you are a professional and want to be able to ignore and just do your job...but...with that type of activity you can not just ignore it even if he was "sorry" that is beyond what you need to deal with..there are many diseases that he could transmit.. hopefully he is embarrassed and never sees you again..I know I would..but if he does call and make an appointment I would never see him again ..of all the things that this young man could say or do the worst and career ending for you would for him to to say that you touched him in an inappropriate way thus resulting in his erection..and so on...my advice if he calls again say whatever it is that you need to say but I would never see that young man again...

what d'you expect from a relaxed client with an imagination

it's usual isn't it?

I'd like to know what you're proposing to say when you 'speak to him' ......ermm...

There is a serious flaw in what happened, if it did happen this way. As soon as he started apologizing, you should have ended the session because obviously there was some kind of sexual feelings on his end-whether they were intentional or not does not matter. You should have said "you do not need to feel embarrassed but unfortunatly I am unable to work on you because any sexual feelings, happenings or conversation is strictly prohibited."

So your answer is, if he does call to come back, tell him that due to the situation during the previous massage, ethically and legally, you can no longer give him massages at all.

Edit: Just thought I should mention that it IS however normal for erections to happen-the thing that differs from this is that there was a sexual act following it so it wasnt just his body relaxing. There is a difference between the two.

You can serve him the next time again:he felt very relaxed and then these things can happen

Won't hold it against him

It was not directed to you either because his g/f came to pick him up

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it. I wouldn't loose a client over it.

Hello

Ask him to go to another massage therapist, he may well be one of those male idiots who just has a massage as a form of artificial masturbation from another. Sad but true, I am sure your skills can be used to treat a more genuine person in need of therapy. Suggest he goes to a brothel with massage next time.
