Yes, if YOU are the one that caught him, then YOU need to be the one to discuss it with him. To have dad or an uncle or other "father figure" talk to him only says "OMG! SHE TOLD EVERYBODY!" and no discussion will be productive at that point. When you do talk to him about it keep it simple and to the point. "Hey, it's natural but keep it private. If you have any questions..." yada yada yada. You, know the drill.

First of all, that doesn't really make much sense. Being a male who has done his fair share of masturbating, and made sure that my parents never caught me...You should definitely consider the consequences of you bringing it up.



On one hand, you should just leave it alone because it's a natural thing for a male to do, and it's definately safer than sex. On the other hand...what's the deal with the hot dog bun?



My suggestion would be to bring up the subject in the near future, but wait a little while so it's not so sensative. Nah leave him to it. Boys will try anything! At the moment he's probably really embarrassed and I wouldn't encourage you to talk to him about it. I think he would resent that! He'll have had a real shock being caught by his mother and will not be doing it again! If you're worried about the hygiene issue (I presume he didn't put the hot dog bun back in the packet!?!) you could have a quick, non-personal chat with him about privacy and not using family food! But other than that I don't think you need do much at all.
