i learned in school that sperm can't live very long outside the body, probably a few seconds maybe minutes but thats about it, sperm can live in your body for like a day before it gets decompose and replaced; and that's why your testis don't explode from too much sperm :P

Sperm will live at room temperature for an hour or more as long as the semen it is in stays consistent and doesn't dry out. The myth that sperm die in seconds is bogus, otherwise guys could not give sperm samples at Drs offices. Inside the female semen can live up to 2 days but it is in optimum conditions back inside a body. General rule of just semen sprayed say on a stomach or chest- as soon as it dries it dies. And any disinfectants or soaps will kill it almost instantly by breaking down the cell membranes. But not a big issue, semen outside the body cannot get anyone pregnant, has to be inserted inside the vagina, all the way in, to have any chance of fertilizing a viable egg.

If saved heat at physique temperature (like on the floor or in a heat attempt tube), sperm stay motile for quite a few hours. interior the female reproductive tract, they might stay for as much as 7 days. Sperm are very gentle to temperature and moisture and could at last die outdoors the physique, yet considering the fact that each ejaculate might comprise as many as 750 million sperm, and it in basic terms takes one sperm to bring about being pregnant, precautions are necessary
