It's 21mg/day (so per patch)

Also, while I agree with Connor that it is their descicion to stop, a push doesn't hurt. Showing you care about their health

As for dosage:

Depends on how much they smoke. (and apparently, their weight). Booklet says if more than 10 cigarrettes a day, start with step one unless they weigh less than 100lb/45kg. (as a 120lb female who smoked approx 12 a day,I actually found step one too much to handle - the moment i took it off, nicotine withdrawl hit me really hard.i dont get this with step 2).

There are many things you can do. Here I point out just some of them. Most people use smoking to reduce stress. This is vital to understand as if you reduce stress with another method this will help you not to have the urge to take the cigarette. A wonderful method of reducing stress is Energy EFT the way AMT teaches it. Google it. You can work on the actual stress using EFT throughout the day at least three to 8 times. Then you can also use EFT to think back on the first time you actually started with smoking. We call this a guiding star event this means you took the cigarette and it made you feel much better at that time and your system craves the good feelings again and again. Use EFT to release any attachment to the initial genesis cigarette event and bring your energy levels up high with EFT. So do not stop at a zero but go to a plus 10. Then look around you, what it is that stresses you or is a problem in your life. Work on these issues and I again recommend to use EFT with that as this will work directly on blockages in your energy body. You can also work on the actual addictive substance. Take the cigarette into your hands and tap EFT until the craving is gone. Do this until your body is clean.

I stopped - using Nco-derm.

The first two weeks had a 21 mg patch per day.

The second two weeks had a 14 mg patch per day.

The third two weeks had a 7 mg patch per day.

It gradually weans you off nicotine. You cannot smoke while wearing the patch or you could overload your system wtih nicotine & it can affect some people like they are having a heart attack.

Your family member MUST do THEIR part - or it aint gonna work. Nicoderm helps a great deal - but it will NOT do it all by itself.

They need to get their own patches. Quitting needs to be their decision. If it's not their decision then they will never stick to it and you will be wasting your money.

Also nictotine patches actually can make it much harder to stop smoking, because then you end up having a problem getting off the patches so I wouldn't buy any.
