Question:
A sex question (glans sensitivity)?

I'm uncircumcised and finding, now that I'm old enough to begin having sex, that the head of my penis is very sensitive. I've run a few searches on this issue to look into whether or not this makes me a freak, and apparently I'm not.

I still don't have any answers, though. A lot of men in Europe are uncircumcised and this doesn't seem to pose a social life-threatening problem for them, so I'm curious.

What about the sensitivity? When I run my thumb over the head, even slightly lubricated, it's...uncomfortable. Not painful, but it naturally makes me tense up. Like a lot of circumcised boys in America, I learned to masturbate in a way that isn't exactly conventional and as I got older, I started doing it in the "traditional" way, but using the slack of my foreskin to slide back and forth instead of lubrication.

Now I have a girlfriend who thoroughly enjoys sex and the problem of my sensitivity makes it difficult to follow through as completely as we would like. Please help.

1) Retracting the foreskin everyday for a short amount of time (this should be done anyway when you clean it) should gradually desinsitize it enough so that it would be uncomfortable to the touch.

2) If you can masturbate using the "circumcised method" (pulling the foreskin back and using lube) and it's not uncomfortable for you, you should be able to have sex without it being too sensitive. You should masturbate like that occasinally anyway just for some variety, but should also use the regular way too! Again, the more you have the foreskin retracted, the more desensitized it gets and the more normal it feels.

3) Generally, you should be wearing a condom when you first start having sex and condoms do reduce sensitivity so if you are not already, use a condom when you are having sex.

4) And you were right in that most European men don't have a problem with being overly sensitive so it's probably something that you will get used to pretty quickly and you won't notice it the older you get.

Hi dude...even I have the same problem. I was worried before. Now I am glad that I cud figure out a solution for this problem. I am trying to masturbate pulling my foresking back and using a soft soap on the glans. This provides me enough lubrication and also gradually feeling better with the decrease of penis glans sensitivity. Hope this shud work for u too. Give a try

How old are you? then more you masturbate or have sex the better it will feel. Do you pull the foreskin back ever day to clean it? this should help. Mine used to be really sensitive when I was a young teenager. Now that i am 35 it isn't as sensitive any longer. maybe to much masturbating or sex? lol. Your are fine and normal.

The normal way to masturbate is the way that feels best for you.

Work on getting it less sensitive by rubbing it a little when you shower. After a few weeks you'll notice a difference. If you can't rub it using your fingers, "cup" some water against your stomach when you shower, and let it drop slowly over the bare head. Then try to rub a little of it. (I know some sections of it are easier to rub than others).

Mine was that way when I started puberty, but it should be the same case for you. If you do it each time you shower, it'll work. E-mail me from my profile if you have any questions.

the more your have sex, the less sensitive you will become. in fact this extra sensitivity is one case they make for not being circumcized. it is said to make sex more enjoyable. since i am circumcized i can never know what it feels like.

there are things that can numb you, such as creams or anti-depressant meds, but i am not a big fan of such things. i believe more in working with who and what you are and enjoying it.

More sex or masturbation will help.Use condom too if you feel uncomfortable and use a lot of lubes.Pull your foreskin back and wash it always.
